Training Courses
Operations Level Responder (24 hours)
The Operations Level Responder course is designed and delivered in accordance with the NFPA 472 Standard for Professional Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials Incidents and also in accordance with Federal OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 requirements.

Learning objectives include the NFPA competencies – analyzing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and terminating the incident. OSHA requirements include: defensive tactics, hazard / risk assessment, personal protective equipment, decontamination, and control / containment techniques. Training consists of classroom lecture, video, written exercises, and hands-on practical exercises designed to demonstrate the NFPA competencies.

Awareness & Operations Level Responders Train-the-Trainer (24 hours)
The First Responder Awareness (FRA) and First Responder Operations (FRO) Train-the-Trainer course is a facilitated instructional technology seminar. Emphasis is given to the design, development, & delivery of training courses to meet the NFPA 472 competency-based requirements for the FRA and FRO responder.

Learning objectives include: instructor materials, student materials, classroom management, multi-media activities, and training needs analysis.

Training consists of classroom lecture, multi-media, written exercises, and teach-back practical exercises for competency demonstration.
